Rate of enjoyment: 9/10

The cinematography was beautiful, as expected from Luca Guadagnino. I went in knowing nothing aside from the cannibalism, and even then wasn't aware of the extent nor the romanticism, which I admittedly enjoyed, and I imagine that was exactly the director's point: Romanticism of our most animalistic modes of purpose. We can't go on without eating, we can't go on without one another. To watch a film so beautifully mash the two together was a new watching experience for me, and I don't think anyone could have done it as well as Guadagnino, Chalamet, and Russell.

Rate of enjoyment: 10/10
