as an atheist I find that I am so much more grateful for the small things. Being pretty certain that this is the only life I have and the only consciousness that I'll ever experience really puts every second of life into perspective

  • live (and possibly die) outside of the United States
  • be an example to people that the go to school, get married, have children, have a career, retire, and then die is not the only meaningful path in life
  • be an example that "caring too much" is not a mental disorder or character defect
  • show through my actions that a meaningful life without religion is possible
  • I just want to be able to actively enjoy my whole life, both young and old . I want to be able and pick up and go when I want to and not be held down by kids or a mortgage. I would like to be financially secure but not at the expense of my freedom. ya know

    • I'm so guilty of this. I just don't generally like spending time around people. But I'm going to find a way to balance my need for solitude with developing close friendships.
