  • Bake an Easter bread and eat it fresh from the oven when it's cooled down a little but is still hot enough to make margarine melt.
  • Visit the Botanic Garden for an Easter walk.
  • Use a sunny day for some happy window cleaning, listening to catchy Rock'n'Roll songs and humming along.
  • Make a mobile with Easter eggs, bunnies and chickens from coloured paper and wire. Add spring-coloured beads if you like.
  • Replace your winter wardrobe with bright and cheerful colours, matched aesthetically of course. Every colour looks brilliant in contrast to black.

  • When it's stopped raining go for a long walk and enjoy the smell.

  • Make paper airplanes and fly them across the room.

  • Make soapbubbles and try to make the biggest one you have ever seen.
  • Watch Amélie and try to get soaked up in the film.
  • This is definitely not for everyone but: watch a Bollywood film!
  • Dance to T-Rex or other silly cool music
  • browse Flickr for pretty photos
  • make grimaces at yourself in front of the mirror

  • collect colourful leaves
  • Identify the leaves and glue them into a notebook. Name them and research about the trees they come from.
  • Collect chestnuts and make animals from them.
  • Have a conkerfight.
  • Find a huge pile of (clean!) leaves and jump right into it. Make sure to tidy up the mess afterwards too.
  • Make a mug of hot tea, light a lantern and watch the flame flicker.
  • Make a paper lantern and take it out for a walk.
  • Carve a pumpkin and make (Carribbean) pumpkin soup.
  • When the storm is howling outside, build a ship from your bed, lots of cushions and blankets and pretend to be a pirate in the middle of a thunderstorm.
