  • meet the robinsons — when i was a kid, i bought a secondhand dvd of this film from the nearest supply store in our neighborhood for fifteen pesos. i played it countless times on our player and kept it separate from my father's stash of horror films because it was very dear to me. i felt like if i put it next to the conjuring dvd, i would somehow be maltreating it. and then one day, i noticed scratches on the back so i pulled out a wet wipe and cleaned it. it never played again after that. it was my comfort film. not even my papa going abroad left me as devastated.
