  • commit murder (though i can't imagine how love would necessitate it)

  • wear leg warmers with pointy toed flats (heaven help me!)

  • hugs from little children and non-lecherous friends.
  • lecherous hugs from the right person.
  • my family and their sense of humor.
  • the gratiousness of others who allow you to f-up while you're learning.
  • forgiveness.
  • persistence and perserverance always pay off (even if not the way you planned).
  • there are probably more happy surprises in your life than nasty ones.
  • you can always learn.

  • Older, very nice, artist couple in Battery Park - I shall visit them sometime on Staten Island
  • Good guy in bar who uttered the saddest phrase ever ..."My former fiance..."
  • A menagrie of ladies with whom I hope to play tennis

  • that i really now know how much all my california girls added to my life
  • i get to spend more time with my brother
  • i have to start all over - sometime that's wonderful but mostly it's just hard
  • i am now a home owner
  • i am learning about the mysterious and illusive ways of the general contractor
  • that i often wish i could undo everything and go home
  • my hair has been re-introduced to humidity with less than fabulous results

  • woke up feeling sorry for myself (this happens more often than it should, i have an active dream life).
  • learned through an accident of timing that my closest cousin was hospitalized today and will likely lose what was to be her first child.
  • stopped feeling sorry for myself.
  • told my brother that i love him.
  • regained my equilibrium through gardening and kept my fingers crossed.
  • compared floor plans with my neighbor.
  • got a rejection letter in the mail.
  • ate an andronico's ginger bread with tea.
  • sat in the dark typing, not unhappily.
