  • Mexico. Obviously. I'm so grateful for everyone and everything. Unexpected connections, setting intentions, new experiences: The Kundalini circle at Ikal (led by an old charismatic lady under a breathtaking shala right at the beach - and I met Jana Pallaske, what are the odds) - ecstatic dance and clapping games with strangers / yoga, breathwork, reiki and sound healing sessions; getting to know Sabine / the caleidoscopic projections at the Mystika museum / the very cute kitten at Indajani hostel that I rescued from the roof / fresh passion fruit juice from a local vendor / tamarind branches swaying in the wind during sunrise / diving at two Cenotes with Berto and Giovanna (who I spent the rest of the day with); getting mango con chile and tacos together, the lovely truck ride, diving the long route, finding an empty turtle shell under water / the night sky, an ocean breeze; setting intentions for the new year / the amazing(ly expensive) interior and jewellery stores in Tulúm / having dinner with a stranger - Max, a Canadian who offers life/spiritual coaching; we had a very interesting talk / picking up hitchhikers from Argentina with Giovanna / chocolate-covered pecans with sea salt / the lovely residential areas in Cancún and the old cars everywhere; my long walk the morning the planetarium was closed - the smell of freshly cut grass giving me a feeling of a day in late summer / shopping at the Nike outlet / meeting Gloria and her pets - first for a yoga session, then I booked a massage with her and she also performed a Shamanic cleansing on me (snipping off my bad energy with scissors) - I adore that woman / finding that little store near Mercado 28 with all kinds of little trinkets and accessories - the two ladies were very patient with me and my horrible Spanish and I found the perfect little bowls and mortars / meeting Michal on Holbox; walking along the beach together to enjoy the sunset and getting more than we had bargained for: a rainbow, dolphins (!): empty swings, a tiny little bit of bioluminescent glitter, a golf cart ride back to the centre / the best tacos ever and giant Cheladas / meeting people at Salma (a bar with a great little altar in an old boat; lots of spooky skulls) / a boat tour to Punta Mosquito, Bird/Passion Island - I liked the Texan guy with the walking stick and enjoyed the amazing views; my favourite was Punta Mosquito with endless white beaches and crystal clear water; Alfonso's music selection was so good as well - I actually saved a few tunes in my playlist / avocados the size of a baby's head / supermarket shopping / amazing vegan tacos and a lovely restaurant owner; there were Hindu decorations everywhere and the guy kept bringing me his favourites / Spanish Harry Potter on the bus / the very colourful tiger and rainbows pattern on a lady waiting in fron of me at the airport //
  • Pretty much amazing forecasts for January.
  • Disco toes (when your toe nails look like tiny disco balls).
  • Thinking about ordering planty rings to attach flower pots to a bathroom wall. Finding the perfect (no screw!) DIY alternative using a piece of scrap wood.
  • Writing a long e-mail to/for/about Raphael. Telling him my version of the story. I'll probably never hear from him again but I feel so much lighter!
  • The Planets - an orchestral suite by Gustav Holst. Each movement of the suite is named after a planet of the Solar System and its supposed astrological character. And it's bloody good music, too.
  • I'm very grateful for toasted almonds.
  • Also, I probably have ADHD - which is not necessarily a good thing but I love getting to know myself better. Related: I go to a new therapist now. The other guy was too superficial, too expensive, I don't know. The new one is more interested in the Whys and works more holistically. She is specialised in eating disorders too which makes me hopeful.
  • Hot pink! I'm obsessed with that colour right now. Such a bright mood booster. I bought pink panties for starters but quickly started ordering pink dresses and tops as well. Can't wait for spring! Becky even gifted me a hot pink face mask.
  • A cute word: putivuelta.
  • White(r) teeth.
  • Stir-fried kimchi and the perfect snack: persimmon with tajin and hazelnut butter.
  • Lyrics Training is such a fun way to practise your language skills, I can't wait to show the game to my students.
  • I've discovered so many lovely vegan products lately and especially like the Greek White, an alternative to Feta cheese.
  • The girl with the grey gradient fake fur jacket on the subway.
  • A big confidence boost when I called the Spanish school and the guy just started speaking Spanish rapidamente after a while when he noticed that I was able to understand him! I guess I'm already much better than I thought. But I'm still going to take classes soon, I'm totally looking forward to that #languagenerd
  • A night of swimming fast as fuck again. So much energy! Sometimes movement is so easy and other times you're just dragging yourself along the floor. This time I saw a dude with a very curious swimming style and I was brave enough to ask him about it. Butterfly! It's really nice for the shoulders. Must try.
  • Being very extra in my pink/yellow leo print coat. But, dare I say it, I'm absolutely rocking it and people (women) are paying me tons of compliments.
  • All the colours. Pastels. Delicious. Colour combinations. Glitter. A fantasy of mixing acrylics again. Marble effects!
  • The lovely animal bowls the kids made. I love Paula's fox, Christina's axolotl, Algert's crocodile, Kuba's bull and Sara's little piggy. Very cute.
  • Fresh laundry smell. Irresistible.
  • Shakin' it off at a little private dance party in the nude.
  • Joining a gospel choir! I don't know any of the songs and I have to sing alto but I love it nevertheless. The best moment is when I finally figure out how a song works / what it should sound like and can finally follow the sheet music enough to sing with confidence.
  • An impromptu pizza party with the gang. Eggplant and ricotta ftw! Playing Krazy Pix ... I love that game franchise.
  • Making posters with my class. A mental health check-in, a top/flop list and a "give one/take one" compliment wall. Then I gave each student a bunch of post-its to contribute a thought or note.
  • Pink and white tulips; bright yellow daffodils.
  • The sunflower bowl I saw in a neighbour's "help yourself" suitcase on the sidewalk.
  • Making Rose Bakery's lemon cake - with poppyseed and blueberries, as usual.
  • Finally finishing the clay pot with little legs.
  • An evening at Therme Erding with Lena and Christian. Soaking in the hot tubs. Kneipp-ing. Drinking a Swimming Pool cocktail outside. Slides!
  • My first experience with muscle relaxants. Nice while it lasted. / Hot pink kinesio tape.
  • Pub quiz with Karl, one of Dennis' colleagues. I really enjoyed his company. He can definitely join the team again.
