• things i adore aesthetically that are supposedly 'tacky'
    • blue eyeshadow: electric or cerulean, glittery, dolly parton fairground. urban decay's kiddie pool is the best shade.
    • big hoop earrings
    • snarls of necklaces.
    • fake nails
  • i really like kim kardashian. she's just very satisfying to look at. i like following her looks and fashion, i like that she reps for curves and an exaggerated femininity. i also love that she's unapologetically 'narcissistic' to the point where she very cleverly satirises public opinion of herself: bringing out a book of selfies and calling it 'selfish' was genius.
  • i think fat people should be left alone by every self-righteous pedant that assumes they have a societal duty to comment on other people's bodies. overweight people might have health risk that those at a normal weight don't, but ultimately it comes back to the fact that human beings don't exist to be publicly consumed, ridiculed, dissected, and criticised. no body is fair game or public property because it doesn't fit a standard.
  • people who call themselves 'grammar nazis' or defenders of the english language are snobby, small minded bores who don't understand that language is a mutable, ever changing and alive medium, not a dead, prescriptive set of rules. if a way of speaking; a grammar; a slang is used and understood, then it is correct usage of the language. grammar is class warfare. the beloved grammatical rules taught to us in class are relics of an 18th century fashion for embellishing english grammar with latin rules made for an entirely different language- hence why 'proper' grammar often sounds and reads clunky and stiff.
